Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or other operational environments.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience required.
  • Experience with production scheduling, inventory management, and process improvement required.
  • Experience in construction, oil and gas, mining, aerospace, heavy industrial, maritime, or related industries preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate daily operational activities to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
  • Manage workflow, labor utilization, and resource allocation to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Oversee order fulfillment and execution to ensure quality standards and customer requirements are met.
  • Enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance throughout the facility.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure operational readiness and organization.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, turnaround time, and other operational performance metrics.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and throughput.
  • Coordinate operational activities with customer service, sales, and other departments to support seamless execution.
  • Supervise, coach, and hold operational personnel accountable for performance, quality, and safety expectations.
  • Resolve operational issues and ensure materials, equipment, and staffing resources are available to meet daily business needs.

CERTEX USA is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead branch operations in Charleston, SC, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations while driving team performance and business results.

Job Summary: The Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role provides leadership to operational teams, drives productivity and continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborates with branch leadership, sales, customer service, and production teams to support business objectives and deliver exceptional customer service.

Essential Functions:
  • Direct and coordinate daily operational activities to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Physical Requirements: The nature of work involves considerable physical effort to perform tasks. Required to:

  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as directed
  • Lift up to 50-75 pounds of weight routinely during daily operations.
  • Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired.
  • Bend, stretch, twist, or reach out, use multiple muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects and make fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists.
  • Employees may work in extreme heat and cold temperatures in warehouse settings with dirt and dust and a moderate to loud noise level.

Education and Experience:

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Pay Range $78,000 - $85,000
