Plans, directs and coordinates operational activities of transit division to provide safe, reliable, efficient, and accessible bus and van transport services in the regional transit area.

- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university; or two to four year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Possess a Class B CDL with airbrake and passenger endorsements. Satisfactorily pass physical examination in compliance with DOT/CDL regulations, showing capability to perform essential duties. Satisfactorily pass a drug test on request. This position is subject to the successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Manage subordinate supervisors who in turn supervise a total of 60+ employees in the Operations Department. Responsible for providing the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, the Collective Bargaining Agreement and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, new employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, including in-vehicle evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Possess good teamwork skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all employees. Ability to work and get along well with others.
