Job summary

Imperial Brady is seeking an Operations Manager to lead warehouse, transportation and facility activities across distribution centers. You will drive operational excellence through strong leadership, process optimization and a customer‑centric mindset to ensure on‑time deliveries.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in warehousing or distribution, with at least 2 years in management, and solid knowledge of ERP/WMS, OSHA/DOT compliance, and budgeting.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in warehouse or distribution operations with 2+ years in management.
  • Knowledge of ERP/WMS systems and ability to train others on new systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and DOT safety/compliance standards.
  • Experience in fleet management.
  • Lean Six Sigma or related certifications highly preferred.
  • Clear understanding of P&L principles and budgeting.
  • Intermediate MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse and transportation operations and associates.
  • Provide strategic leadership and support regional operations management with short and mid-term planning.
  • Provide positive and inspirational leadership to all distribution center associates.
  • Ensure operations are compliant with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Control to adhere to standards for inventory and loss control.
  • Establish and maintain an effective staffing plan with full-time and temporary headcount.
  • Select, train, develop, and motivate employees; manage turnover and culture.
  • Manage route logistics for efficient deliveries and customer service.
  • Maintain a safe environment to protect employee well-being and minimize risk.
  • Manage expenses to a budget and review cost of goods to maximize profitability.
  • Provide logistical input to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Work with Sales Management and Procurement to ensure a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Oversee maintenance and safety standards for facility, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Approve credits for returns or pricing; ensure OSHA and DOT compliance for all employees.
  • Additional duties or special projects as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations, with at least 2 years in a management role
  • High school diploma or equivalent; College degree a plus
  • Inspirational leadership skills to build and retain a high performing team
  • Strong knowledge of ERP and WMS systems with ability to learn and train others on new systems
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and all safety compliance standards
  • Experience in fleet management
  • Lean Six Sigma or distribution related certifications highly preferred
  • Clear understanding of Profit & Loss principles and budgeting
  • Intermediate experience with MS Office
  • Ability to be flexible and work extended or adjusted hours to ensure presence and support across all shifts, or to address urgent customer needs
  • Experience and ability to operate Material Handling Equipment and drive company Delivery Vehicles as necessary
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving history
  • Ability to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs and walk, climb, kneel, stoop, and balance frequently
Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this role is $85,000-$95,000/per year . This range represents what the company reasonably expects topay an associatefor this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations. In addition to basepay, BradyPLUS offers a comprehensive benefits package to support the health and well-being of our associates and their families.
