Operations Manager

MI | $175,000 - $200,000 Base Salary + 20% Bonus

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of engineers and technical professionals.
• Oversee project delivery, operational execution, and customer satisfaction.
• Drive workforce planning, resource allocation, and team utilization across multiple projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and executive stakeholders.
• Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational performance.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and succession planning efforts.
• Partner with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to support business growth and strategic objectives.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience within manufacturing, industrial automation, engineering services, technical operations, or related industrial environments.
• Proven success leading and developing technical teams.
• Strong experience with project delivery, budgeting, resource planning, and operational performance management.
• Customer-facing experience with the ability to build strong, long-term relationships.
• Comfortable working with executive stakeholders and cross-functional leadership teams.
• Exposure to automation, controls, industrial technology, manufacturing systems, MES, analytics, OT, or digital transformation initiatives is highly preferred.
• Ability to balance technical understanding with operational and business leadership responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical, or related discipline preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
