Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Operations Management Trainee for the 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm) in Wisconsin.

The role supports shop management, cost savings, customer retention, and metric-based initiatives while working cross-functionally across Operations, Asset Management, Sales, Quality, and Rental. Essential duties include managing customer relationships, coordinating with Rental to maximize utilization, and assisting in PM scheduling, breakdowns, and technician planning for efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year or more in customer service with issues resolution experience.
• Strong PC knowledge/skills including spreadsheets and word processing.
• Basic understanding of business finance, controls and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer interface and proactive management to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate with rental, sales and maintenance to optimize costs and utilization.
• Ensure PM scheduling, follow-up, and accurate vehicle status updates; oversee technician planning.

Job Description: Shift 2nd Shift - 3:00pm - 11:30pm Summary The Operations Management Trainee will support the shop management process and assist in cost savings, customer retention, and metric-based initiatives. This requires the Management Trainee to work cross functionally across Operations, Asset Management, Sales, Quality, and Rental.

Essential Functions Responsible for the customer relationship activities by providing quality customer interface, proactive customer management, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction. Coordinate with the rental department to ensure maximum utilization without compromising lease customers. Partner with Sales staff on customer calls for new business and increased customer satisfaction. Manage running costs and maintenance overheads. Ensure policy and processes are followed to optimize running costs and maintenance overhead. Accountable for coordinating with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction. Ensure accurate PM scheduling and follow up, breakdowns and vehicle status updates; oversee Technician work planning for efficiency, training, and flexibility.

Additional Responsibilities Relocation within the business unit at the conclusion of the training program is required. Performs other duties as assigned.
