Job summary
Ryder is seeking an Operations Management Trainee in Illinois for an 18-month structured program to develop leadership and operational knowledge. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive customer retention and overall operational excellence, using problem-solving to support business decisions with mentorship and potential relocation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, Required.
- 1 year or more in customer service with issues resolution experience, Preferred.

- Basic understanding of Business Finance, controls and metrics Beginner, Required.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer relationship activities and ensure satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the rental department for maximum utilization.
- Partner with Sales on customer calls for new business.
- Control running costs and maintenance overheads.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure PM scheduling and oversee technician planning.

The Operations Management Trainee (OMT) is an 18-month structured and comprehensive training program to develop leadership and operational knowledge. - Responsible for the customer relationship activities by providing quality customer interface, proactive customer management, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the rental department to ensure maximum utilization without compromising lease customers.
- Partner with Sales staff on customer calls for new business and increased customer satisfaction.
- Manage running costs and maintenance overheads. Ensure policy and processes are followed to optimize running costs and maintenance overhead.
- Accountable for coordinating with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure accurate PM scheduling and follow up, breakdowns and vehicle status updates; oversee Technician work planning for efficiency, training, and flexibility.
- Relocation within the business unit at the conclusion of the training program is required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
