Primary Purpose
Operations Management Trainee Program is a 26‑week immersive learning experience designed for driven, high‑potential candidates ready to jumpstart their careers in operations management at Mountaire Farms. This program provides an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience across every facet of Mountaire’s processing operations. As a trainee, you will rotate through key departments, cultivate essential leadership skills, and take an active role in driving impactful, continuous improvement initiatives. Upon successful completion, this program sets you on a career path to a supervisory role within processing operations, a journey to becoming a future leader in the poultry industry.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Dive into a wide range of assignments in the Management Trainee Program, including supervisory responsibilities. Demonstrate mastery through successful completion of learning objectives and evaluations, and take ownership of special projects aimed at optimizing operational performance and delivering measurable results. Consistently provide weekly summary reports and department updates that highlight progress and key learnings.
- Gain immersive, hands‑on experience across critical operational areas, including Safety, Quality Assurance, Live Haul, Resource Recovery, First Processing, Second Processing, Cone Debone, Further Processing, Maintenance, and Shipping. This diverse rotation will equip you with an all‑encompassing understanding of the operational excellence required to manage Mountaire’s facilities and prepare you for future leadership roles.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required. Internal candidates with 2+ years of proven leadership or supervisory experience may qualify in lieu of formal education.
- Experience: 0–2 years of related experience. This entry‑level program is designed to help you realize your potential and launch a thriving career in Operations management.
