Job summary

PIC Group, Inc. is seeking O&M Technicians to support the operation and maintenance of simple-cycle power generation facilities featuring GE 7FA and 7EA gas turbines.

This hands-on role requires a strong mechanical, electrical, or I&C background, with field and control room work in a small team, and a willingness to cross-train across multiple disciplines and plant operations.

Qualifications

• Requires hands-on mechanical, electrical, or I&C experience.
• 3+ years of power plant operations/maintenance preferred.
• Gas turbine experience (GE 7EA/7FA) strongly preferred.
• Experience with GE Mark V/VI/VIe controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant equipment and systems for safe, reliable operation.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and I&C equipment.
• Support maintenance of turbines, pumps, compressors, valves, motors, switchgear, breakers, and instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot issues and assist with corrective actions.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per plant procedures.
• Qualify in plant operating positions, including control room responsibilities, as required.
• Comply with LOTO, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate logs, maintenance records, and inspection documentation.

Key Project Requirements

• 3+ years of power plant operations and/or maintenance experience preferred.
• Hands-on mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation & controls (I&C) experience required.
• GE 7FA and/or 7EA gas turbine experience strongly preferred.
• GE Mark V, Mark VI, or Mark VIe controls experience is a plus.

Job Summary

Candidates should have a strong mechanical, electrical, or I&C background and be willing to cross-train across multiple disciplines and plant operations.

• Operate and monitor plant equipment and systems to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation.
• Perform troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and I&C equipment.
• Support maintenance of combustion turbines, pumps, compressors, valves, motors, switchgear, breakers, instrumentation, and other plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot plant equipment and operating issues and assist with corrective actions.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with plant procedures.
• Qualify in plant operating positions, including control room responsibilities, as required.
• Support and comply with plant Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate operating logs, maintenance records, inspection documentation, and other required plant records.

Job Requirements

• Hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and/or instrumentation & controls maintenance within a power generation or similar industrial environment.
• Gas turbine power plant experience strongly preferred; GE 7EA or 7FA experience is highly desirable.
• Ability and willingness to cross-train in multiple maintenance disciplines and plant operations.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently as part of a small O&M team.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and able to adapt to changing plant priorities.

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or military training preferred.
• 3+ years of power plant operations and/or maintenance experience preferred.
• GE 7EA/7FA turbine and Mark V/VI/VIe controls experience preferred.
