Job summary

Gerdau is offering a Management Trainee program aimed at developing well-rounded professionals in a fast-paced recycling environment. You will work with Location Supervisors and Managers to learn operations, scrap grading, and customer delivery, while gaining exposure to safety, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Recent graduates with a four-year degree in related fields are encouraged to apply, with relocation across North America during the program.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain or Management (or related field).
• Recent university graduate – degree to be completed before program starts.
• Preference for experience in industrial/manufacturing environments; scrap processing knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to train others and coach is advantageous; strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to relocate across North America during the program.

Responsibilities

• Support Location Supervisor and Location Manager in daily operations and continuous improvement.
• Assist with scrap collection, sorting, and staging deliveries to customers.
• Coordinate safety activities and ensure effective communication across teams.
• Contribute to annual action plans, Capex, and site policy administration.
• Spend approximately 50% of time in the scrap yard and travel between locations.
