Job summary

Gerdau North America is seeking an entry-level Management Trainee for a 12–18-month program in Recycling. You will support the Location Supervisor and Manager, gain exposure to scrap grading, yard operations, and customer deliveries, while building leadership and technical skills.

The program emphasizes on-the-job learning, coaching, and management mentorship across Operations and Commercial Departments, preparing you for a future leadership role within the company.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in business-related disciplines (Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain or Management).
• Recent graduate or soon-to-graduate before program starts.
• Industrial/manufacturing experience preferred, knowledge of scrap processing welcome.
• Ability to train others and coach, with strong presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willing to relocate within North America during the program.

Responsibilities

• Organize collection, sorting, and staging of scrap metals for on-time delivery.
• Assist Location Manager with Annual Action Plan, Capex, and policy administration.
• Support safety activities and promote continuous improvement in the yard.
