Job summary

Leggett & Platt Inc. is seeking a Director of Operations Wire & Spring to oversee all wire and spring manufacturing operations. You will define strategy, manage multiple locations, and collaborate with sales, planning, engineering, safety and quality teams to deliver efficient, high-impact processes.

You will lead budgeting, project approvals, and staff development while driving continuous improvement and strong business results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
• MBA preferred or considered plus.
• Extensive experience leading manufacturing operations with P&L responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee P&L and all wire and spring manufacturing operations.
• Maintain knowledge of all wire and spring operations.
• Collaborate with sales, planning, engineering, safety, quality, and other teams to develop solutions.
• Control manufacturing projects, plans, and priorities.
• Coordinate with Plant Management on location infrastructure and customer needs.
• Provide input to forecasting and P&L.
• Approve projects and funding for programs.
• Assess technology, resources, and market demand for projects.
• Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes.
• Monitor performance and propose efficiency improvements.
• Support operations across the business.
• Interview, hire, train, and mentor the operations team.
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership.
• Motivate and delegate to exceed goals.
