Job summary

Woodgrain seeks an Operations Manager in Taunton, MA to lead Production, Warehouse and Delivery operations. You will drive safety, efficiency, and cost controls while aligning branch plans with the company growth strategy.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience and a collaborative leadership style to engage teams, optimize processes, and meet performance targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred and 3–5 years related experience or equivalent.
• Track record leading a distribution center or millwork operations is desirable.
• Experience in the millwork/building materials industry desirable.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from customers, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Experience in managerial assignments in distribution is desirable.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel).
• Experience interpreting financial statements and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Manage Production, Warehouse and Delivery operations with emphasis on safety and efficiency.
• Develop and adjust plans to improve operational and financial performance.
• Review and act on IT system reports related to production, warehouse and delivery.
• Review quality of work in shops to meet customer expectations before shipment.
• Train new employees and cross-train where appropriate.
• Protect company assets with security and process controls.
• Lead continuous improvement through root-cause analysis and daily/monthly reviews.
• Communicate priorities and progress via daily huddles and department meetings.
