Job summary

Jobtailor in Gonzales, LA is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead staff, shape policies, and drive efficiency across manufacturing and field services. You will own P&L, develop strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet ambitious productivity and compliance goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or in lieu of degree Industry experience.
• 5+ years of experience in operations/general management with full P&L responsibility of $5-10M+ and at least 8-10+ employees, ideally in an Engineering Services or Field Services environment in manufacturing, MEP, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial
• Experience working with customers and building relationships
• Strong leadership and management skills with experience growing a business
• Self-starter
• Strong safety culture leadership experience
• A strong desire to "win"/competitive nature with a strong drive, energy, and motivation
• An interest and ability in being a hands-on leader
• Strong change management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and laws
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures
• Ensure that all processes are running smoothly and efficiently
• Identify areas for improvement and implement new strategies to increase productivity
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to measure success and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all goals are aligned and met
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws
