Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a proven Operations Manager to lead drivers and teams at our Marion, OH location. You will drive customer satisfaction by exceeding KPIs, developing forward-looking plans, and managing resources to achieve financial targets. Schedule - M-F 7 AM - 4 PM.

Lead a safety-centric operation, collaborate across Penske sites, and continuously improve routing, carrier selection, backhauls, and loading to meet or exceed the business plan.

Qualifications

• 4 - 6 years related functional experience.
• 3+ years managerial or supervisory experience with DOT regulated positions.
• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train, recruit, hire, develop, and retain quality associates.
• Ensure supervisors and associates are trained and competent and understand how their work relates to customer objectives.
• Establish and sustain effective two-way communication that informs and motivates.
• Build strong relationships with associates, the customer, and supporting departments.
• Meet or exceed all customer key performance metrics and objectives.
• Lead team to identify operational improvements in routing, carrier selection, backhauls, and loading.
• Collaborate with other Penske sites to share best practices and leverage resources.
• Develop and execute annual financial and operating plan.
• Lead a safety culture and continuous improvement to reduce incidents.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and track value delivered to the customer.
• Improve fleet/equipment utilization and maintenance availability.
