Job summary

• Understanding of DOT and logistics rules, regulations, and operations.
• Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies in business and finance.
• Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Superior managerial and diplomacy skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule labor to support purchasing and sales departments.
• Manage facility profit and loss and budgeting to meet goals.
• Set metrics, guidelines, and standards to measure efficiency; identify improvements.
• Forecast and prepare the operating budget using historical data and benchmarks.
• Identify strategic needs and execute plans for implementation.
• Oversee business planning including disaster planning and risk management.
• Control operating expenses and shrinkage; investigate discrepancies.
• Improve customer service and satisfaction through policy changes.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly work environment for all employees.
• Lead and develop subordinate staff; promote training and advancement.
