Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end operational functions within a rapidly growing insurance and financial services organization in Durham, NC. You will lead multiple departments, implement efficiency improvements, and ensure exceptional customer and partner experiences in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree required with 3–5+ years of management experience.
• Experience in a contact center, insurance, or financial services environment.
• Proven leadership and people development capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational departments including New Business, Premium Remittance, Licensing & Commissions, Client Support, Producer Support, and Claims.
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times.
• Supervise contact center performance to ensure high-quality customer experience across touchpoints.
• Maintain knowledge of products, systems, processes, and business rules.
• Manage and resolve escalated issues with cross-team collaboration.
• Develop performance metrics and drive productivity with department leaders.
• Coach and motivate leadership to achieve goals and engagement.
• Review and approve client withdrawal requests while ensuring compliance.
• Lead hiring across operations including candidate screening and interviews.
• Drive employee engagement and collaborative workplace culture.
• Lead operational meetings and keep teams aligned and informed.
