Job summary

Ecovyst is seeking an Operations Manager for the Hammond, IN site to plan and direct all production operations and logistics activities. You will own the OEE program, drive safety performance, and coordinate budget requests with corporate capex teams.

This role requires leadership across multiple functions in a fast-paced chemical environment. You will lead debottlenecking initiatives, map value streams, and ensure compliance with MOC and HS&E standards while developing your team and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
• Minimum 5–10 years of operations or production management in chemical manufacturing.
• PSM experience including LOTO, PSSR, MOC, investigations, PHA actions.
• USW union environment experience and ability to lead a unionized workforce.
• Experience managing KPIs like OEE, demurrage, tank inventory, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive OEE program and KPI visibility across all levels.
• Champion safety culture and ensure LOTO compliance and training.
• Develop 3–5 year CAPEX plans with corporate capital teams.
• Lead debottlenecking and value stream mapping to reduce waste.
• Manage logistics operations, tank inventory, and outbound shipping.
• Oversee plant changes via MOC and ensure HS&E standards.
• Develop direct reports and participate in Hammond management network.
