Job summary

Ecovyst Inc. in Hammond, IN is seeking an Operations Manager to plan, organize, and direct all activities across production operations and the logistics/shipping function.

You will drive manufacturing excellence, lead safety initiatives, manage a multi-year capex plan, and coordinate cross-functional improvements with the corporate capital team. The role requires a BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, 5–10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing operations, PSM expertise, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
• 5–10 years of operations or production management experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• PSM experience with OSHA 1910.119, LOTO, PSSR, MOC, incident investigation, and PHA action item management.
• Experience leading a unionized workforce in a USW or equivalent environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive manufacturing excellence and own the OEE program with KPI visibility.
• Lead safety culture and enforce LOTO and life-critical rules.
• Develop and manage a rolling 3–5 year capex plan with corporate input.
• Lead debottlenecking and value stream mapping to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Ensure compliance with Enablon actions and MOC processes across operations.
• Oversee logistics, tank inventory, and outbound shipping execution.
• Coach direct reports and participate in Hammond management and network teams.
• Lead turnaround shutdowns, startup activities, and equipment inspections.
