Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Operations Manager for our Brookfield, CT site to lead day-to-day chemical handling and packaging operations. You will manage 30–40 staff across planning, scheduling, packaging and shipping, driving safety, efficiency and compliance with OSHA, DOT and EPA standards.

The role requires a strong Lean/continuous improvement background and hands-on leadership to meet production targets in a challenging environment. On-site role in Brookfield, CT, with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of operations management experience in manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environments.
• Experience with chemical handling, packaging, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOT, EPA).
• Experience leading teams of 30–40 employees and driving safety, quality and efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of chemical handling and packaging teams to meet production targets and customer demand.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 30–40 staff across planning, scheduling, packaging and shipping.
• Train and mentor employees on safety, packaging methods and chemical handling protocols.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA).
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve throughput.
