ALO is seeking an Operations Lead in Vail, CO to drive profitability and efficiency. You will lead inventory, execute store operations, and support leadership with feedback and coaching to maximize results. The role requires a strong focus on customer experience and team development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute inventory management processes with focus on accuracy and reducing shrink.
• Investigate and root cause inventory issues, partner with GM to fix gaps.
• Manage shipment, receiving, processing, reverse transfers, floor replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
• Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor.
• Support safe work environment and efficient operation via stockroom standards.
• Partner with Operations & Visual Manager on reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities.
• Move dynamically on the retail floor to meet business, team, and guest needs.
• Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations and guest experience.
• Directly oversee Operations Associates; recruit and develop talent.
• Collaborate with Visual Lead and Sales & Service Lead to ensure cross-functional training and execution of directives.

OVERVIEW

The Operations Lead is critical in the store leadership team and is responsible for driving and coaching to profitability and efficiency. The Operations Lead will work closely with the Operations & Visual Manager in initiating, delegating work, and providing feedback to the team to achieve optimal results supporting total store operations.

Operations Leader

• Lead & execute inventory management processes effectively with a focus on maximizing inventory accuracy and reducing shrink
• Investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the General Manager to elevate process or system gaps
• Manage execution of key operational functions including shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day sales floor replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management
• Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor
• Support a safe work environment and efficient operation through strong stockroom standards and processes

Business Leader

• Partner with Operations & Visual Manager to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities to ensure maintained and maximized
• Demonstrate strong business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business-driving strategies
• Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team and guests

People Leader

• Leads by example and inspires staff in daily operations and guest experience.
• Directly oversee the Operations Associates; responsible for recruitment and development of talent
• Use company performance tools to evaluate each operations associate and provide constant feedback to drive individual growth and improvement in partnership with the store leader

Business Partner

• Collaborate with Visual Lead to ensure cross-functional training, and Sales & Service Lead to ensure the business is well‑executed
• Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects and initiates, in partnership with the Operations & Visual Manager (e.g. from the SCC)

Operations Lead Qualifications:

• 2+ Years prior work experience in a client‑centric, sales environment
• Proven leadership capabilities demonstrating excellent decision making
• Values feedback, receptive to receiving feedback and eager to provide
• High energy, upbeat and enthusiastic with the ability to integrate fun and work
• Self‑motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually, and as a team
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

• Job Level: Associate

The Lead role is full‑time and requires 32 - 40 hours per week fulfilling the job description as stated above. To build a balanced schedule that supports the needs of the business and our teams, we expect all full‑time employees to have openavailability and are expected to work variable shifts including peak days and weekends.All employees without exception are expected to be able to work during the company’s Blackout period, from the week of American Thanksgiving (including Black Friday and Thanksgiving weekend) through the end of the holiday season (the 1st week of January).

The Company’s Lead base pay ranges from $22.00- $26.00/ hour in Vail, CO. Please also note, Leads are eligible to participate in the Company’s Monthly Store Incentive bonus program, which may result in bringing the total compensation to a higher range. Further, the range listed is just one component of the Company’s total rewards package for retail employees. Other rewards may include: clothing allowance, employee discount, 401K, competitive medical, dental, and vision plans, commuter benefits, and ALO Wellness Club.
