Job summary

A food innovation company is looking for an Operations Lead to drive mission-critical projects and deliver operational excellence in a stealth incubation focused on rebuilding the American food system. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of experience in startup environments, proven capabilities in driving efficiencies, and expertise in AI automation. Responsibilities include collaborating with the CEO, optimizing processes, and building strong relationships within the food and agriculture sectors. This role is based in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in operating roles, ideally in food/ag or supply chain.
• Track record in high-growth startup environments, especially in marketplace contexts.
• Experience with AI automation for supply chain or e-commerce operations.
• Familiar with startup essentials: cap tables, term sheets, pitch decks, unit economics, plus food-specific metrics like supply chain traceability.

We're seeking a high-caliber operator, someone who's thrived in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and excels at turning chaos into structured execution – to serve as Operations Lead for Ultranative’s new stealth-mode incubation (Healthy People Holdings). This initiative is dedicated to rebuilding the American food system with clean, safe, and transparent ingredients, powered by a tech-enabled marketplace that drives demand for nutrient-dense food and regenerative agriculture. Backed by world‑class partners and investors, this incubation is transforming food production, distribution, and consumption for greater health and sustainability.

As Operations Lead, you’ll drive mission‑critical projects in this focused incubation, deliver operational excellence, and collaborate closely with the CEO and founding team. The Mission: Deliver predictable execution in this stealth food system incubation by building ops infrastructure, AI‑enabled workflows, partner pipelines, and ecosystem activations centered on nutrient-dense food and regenerative agriculture.

What You’ll Do

Execution & Operations

• Collaborate with the CEO and founding team to deliver on‑time launches and efficiency improvements through process optimization in this food system incubation.
• Drive milestones and coordination to hit aggressive launch and growth targets for the tech-enabled marketplace.
• Assist in shaping strategy, materials, and governance for this food/ag-focused venture.
• Identify and mitigate roadblocks to maintain high milestone achievement in stealth mode.

Systems, Automation & Projects

• Build and maintain AI-powered workflows (e.g., Lindy.AI, Zapier, Claude) across tools like Google Workspace, Notion, Airtable, Slack, and CRM, tailored to food supply chain and marketplace needs.
• Drive internal cadence, OKRs, and resource allocation for shared services (marketing, finance, legal, ops) in the incubation.
• Lead high-impact special projects spanning regenerative ag and nutrient-dense food initiatives.

Community & Ecosystem Building

• Build relationships with corporate partners, foundations, government agencies, pilots, and distribution channels in the food and agriculture space.
• Own execution of demo days, investor events, summits, dinners, and brand activations centered on clean ingredients and transparent supply chains.
• Grow audience of founders, scientists, operators, and creators in food tech and regenerative ag.
• Conduct rapid opportunity scans and customer validation in food system verticals, emphasizing nutrient-dense foods and regenerative practices.
• Produce competitive analyses, moat mapping, regulatory overviews (e.g., FDA, USDA), and sector briefs on American food transparency.
• Support company structuring and formation for this stealth marketplace venture.

Who You Are

• 3–6 years of operating experience at high-growth startups, VC/PE firms, consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG), or similar, ideally in food/ag or supply chain.
• Proven track record in 0→1 and 1→10 environments — building processes and delivering in ambiguity, with exposure to marketplaces or ag tech.
• Experience implementing AI-automated systems (e.g., Claude integrations) for supply chain or e-commerce ops.
• Familiar with startup essentials: cap tables, term sheets, pitch decks, unit economics, plus food-specific metrics like supply chain traceability.
• Strong written and verbal communicator, comfortable supporting engagements with founders, investors, and stakeholders in food and ag.
• Extreme ownership + bias to action; proactive and hands‑on.
• Passionate about impact in rebuilding the food system, with interest in clean ingredients, nutrient density, or regenerative agriculture.
• Based in (or willing to relocate to) Austin, TX, and enthusiastic about in-person collaboration 4–5 days/week.

Nice-to Haves

• Domain experience in food & agriculture tech, CPG, supply chain marketplaces, regenerative ag, or nutrient-dense food.
