Join a rapidly growing, next-generation data center organization powering the future with 100% renewable energy. This company builds, owns, and operates its own facilities and is at the forefront of sustainable infrastructure supporting high-performance computing and advanced GPU environments.

If you're looking to join a mission-driven organization committed to responsible growth, sustainability, and meaningful community impact, this is your opportunity.

Data Center Operations Lead

Join a dynamic, fast-paced team where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting and scaling high-performance data center operations. This is your chance to thrive in a high-growth environment, driving impactful work at the cutting edge of energy and technology infrastructure.

Since launching in 2019, this organization has expanded from its international roots to multiple facilities across North America and is publicly traded on a major U.S. exchange. Growth is accelerating — and this is just the beginning.

By joining this team, you will contribute to the future of sustainable high-performance computing while supporting the local communities where operations are based.

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 3–5 years in mission-critical, 24/7 data center operations or network operations center environments, including leadership, mentoring, or shift-lead responsibilities.
  • Expertise in real-time incident management, including accurate categorization, prioritization, triage, and stabilization of IT hardware, network, GPU, and facility-related issues.
  • Experience monitoring GPU compute clusters, network environments, and facility infrastructure; validating alerts and coordinating immediate response actions.
  • Proficiency in ITSM ticketing systems: validation, prioritization, routing, and initial root-cause assessment for engineering follow-up.
  • Experience coordinating on-site smart-hands support and directing technicians and facilities staff based on incident priority and operational impact.
  • Strong commitment to operational continuity through structured shift handovers, precise logging, risk communication, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent military/technical operations experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary real-time decision-maker for active incidents while embedded onsite with shift teams, ensuring accurate categorization, prioritization, timely triage, clear communication, and stabilization across IT hardware, network systems, GPU clusters, and facility infrastructure.
  • Monitor IOC dashboards for GPU cluster, network, and facility alerts — validating signal quality, assessing impact, and coordinating real-time response actions.
  • Validate ticket prioritization and routing; identify recurring issues or trends and direct follow-up actions appropriately.
  • Coordinate smart-hands activities supporting GPU clusters, facility systems, and network operations — ensuring safe and timely execution.
  • Escalate critical or high-impact incidents to management or Tier 2/Engineering teams with clear documentation and recommended next steps.
  • Perform initial root-cause assessments by collecting logs, timelines, and evidence; coordinate handoff for deeper investigation as needed.
  • Conduct structured shift handovers and maintain accurate operational logs to ensure continuity and situational awareness.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, recurring operational gaps, and workflow inefficiencies; propose actionable solutions.
