Job summary

Nen Creative is seeking an Operations Lead to own day-to-day business operations, spanning finance, contracts, people operations, and internal systems. You’ll be a natural problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, taking initiative and building scalable processes.

The role is remote-friendly and hands-on, with leadership exposure to founders and fast-growing tech partners. You’ll help drive efficiency, scale, and strategic impact across the company as it grows.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in business/finance operations at a startup or similar environment.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, demanding environment with strong ownership.
• Proactive, highly organized, and able to own initiatives without direction.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across leadership, employees, clients, and vendors.
• Experience reviewing and redlining contracts; able to identify risks and negotiate terms.
• Familiarity with AI tools to improve workflows and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Own accounts payable/receivable, client invoicing, vendor payments, and expense reconciliation.
• Manage financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow tracking, and forecasting for leadership decisions.
• Review, redline, and manage client/vendor agreements, NDAs, and other contracts; oversee compliance and admin requirements.
• Manage employee and contractor onboarding/offboarding, documentation, policies, and vendor management.
• Build and improve internal workflows, dashboards, and operational systems; automate repetitive tasks.

About The Role

We're looking for an Operations Lead to own and improve the day-to-day business operations at Nen Creative. We work closely with founders and fast-growing tech companies, and we operate with the same speed and ambition ourselves. This is a hands-on role spanning finance, contracts, people operations, and internal systems. We're looking for a natural problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes initiative without waiting for direction, and is excited to build and improve the systems that help our company scale.

What You'll Do

• Financial Operations & Planning: Own accounts payable and receivable, client invoicing, vendor payments, and expense reconciliation. Manage financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow tracking, and forecasting to support leadership decisions.
• Contracts & Compliance: Review, redline, and manage client and vendor agreements, NDAs, and other contracts. Identify risks, coordinate negotiations, and oversee business compliance, insurance, and administrative requirements.
• People Operations & Administration: Manage employee and contractor onboarding and offboarding, documentation, policies, and vendor management.
• Systems & Process Improvement: Build and improve internal workflows, reporting dashboards, and operational systems. Identify inefficiencies, automate repetitive tasks, and proactively implement solutions that help the company scale.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of experience in business operations, finance operations, or similar roles. Experience at a fast-growing startup is a major plus.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, demanding environment. This isn't a traditional 9-to-5 role. We're looking for someone who is highly driven, adaptable, and willing to go above and beyond when needed.
• Extremely proactive and resourceful, with a strong sense of ownership. Anticipates problems, takes initiative, and drives solutions independently without waiting for direction.
• Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle competing priorities and consistently follow through.
• Experience reviewing and redlining contracts, identifying risks, and negotiating commercial terms is a strong plus.
• Actively keeps up with AI tools, with an eagerness to leverage AI and automation to improve workflows and productivity.
• Excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently with leadership, employees, clients, and vendors.
