Job summary

The University of Massachusetts President's Office in Westborough, MA is offering a part-time Operations Intern for Fall 2026 at $17.00 per hour. The role supports day-to-day building operations and administrative tasks to keep the office safe, clean, and efficient.

This hands-on position includes facilities maintenance, event support, vendor coordination, and basic procurement tasks. Candidates must be a degree-seeking UMass student from the five-campus system, able to work up to 20 hours

Qualifications

• Current UMass student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Able to lift 25 lbs and work on-site in Westborough, MA.

Responsibilities

• Assist with building access, facilities coordination, and vendor coordination.
• Support events by setting up and breaking down rooms and managing room requests.
• Lead mailroom and office-supply operations and manage procurement tasks.
• Help develop operational procedures to improve office workflows.
• Perform other operational tasks and errands as assigned.
