Job summary

Koch Fertilizer invites students to apply for a Summer 2027 Operations Intern position in Dodge City, Kansas. This 12-week program runs from late May to mid-August 2027 and offers hands-on experience in plant operations, safety procedures, and data-driven troubleshooting.

You will work with operators, maintenance, reliability and process engineers to support daily production, monitor conditions, and gain exposure to real-world chemical plant environments while meeting physical requirements and

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a degree or technical program related to Instrumentation and Controls, Industrial Technology, Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, or Operations Management.
Eligible for full-time employment by May 2028.
Willing and able to meet all physical requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist with operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of production equipment.
Perform rounds, monitor process conditions, and record data for plant performance.
Collaborate with operators, maintenance, reliability and process engineers to improve equipment reliability.
Follow safety and environmental procedures while gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting.
Work on projects representative of full-time operator work.
