Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking an Operations Intern to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic plant environment. You will shadow teams across departments and contribute to ongoing operational initiatives, bridging classroom learning with real-world applications.

You will work with experienced professionals, participate in learning workshops, and receive mentorship and networking opportunities during a structured summer program.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a four-year institution pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Degree fields include Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Production Management, Business or related areas.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Team Leader and Shift Leader with daily tasks, training, and development of subordinates.
• Help production staff ensure product quality and adherence to customer requirements.
• Promote an environment aligned with company policies and safety procedures.
• Rotate through multiple plant functions during training (Live Haul, Wastewater, Accounting, HR, etc.).
