Job summary

Johnsonville, LLC is seeking an Operations Intern in Denmark, WI for the 2027 summer. You will join the Operations Team to help standardize processes across facilities and gain hands-on experience working with plant leadership.

The internship targets a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Operations Management, with a minimum 3.0 GPA and a willingness to travel to nearby facilities to collaborate across functions.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Operations Management.
• Junior or senior status preferred.
• Minimum 3.0 overall GPA
• Previous work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review Standard Operating Procedures for consistency across all facilities.
• Gain hands-on experience with plant workflows with production, quality, maintenance, sanitation, safety and reliability excellence functions.
• Participate in or lead projects to streamline processes, reduce waste, boost efficiency and enhance quality.
• Collect and analyze OEE and downtime to support performance tracking and decision-making.
• Make recommendations to improve and strengthen the existing SOPs.
• Work independently as well as with multiple site Operations Teams.
• Develop knowledge and insight into daily operations activities.
• Maintain accurate records in notebooks and project reports.
• Share ideas, questions, problems and results with other team members.
