Job summary

Interfor in Swainsboro, GA is seeking an Operations Intern to apply classroom learning to a real manufacturing setting. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to projects that improve process efficiency.

This on-site internship runs May for 4–8 months; you’ll develop leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with opportunities to learn about sawmill operations, data analysis, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma pursued in Wood Products Processing, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related program.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Curious, hands-on, and eager to learn how a manufacturing operation works.
• Clear communication across teams and departments.
• Comfort with reviewing information and problem solving.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
