Job summary

Assistance Technique Internationale seeks an Operations Support Intern for its Summer 2027 Internship Program at the Baker's South location in Monroe, NC. You will support manufacturing operations through continuous improvement, process standardization, and efficiency-focused projects.

You will work on CI projects, participate in 5S initiatives, and collaborate with Operations and cross-functional teams to drive practical improvements and data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are expected.
• Interest in continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support Continuous Improvement (CI) projects that improve operational performance and processes.
• Participate in 5S initiatives across shifts and departments.
• Evaluate current practices to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend alternatives.
• Help standardize processes and reduce variation across areas.
• Assist with improvements to Mill Instructions and Operational Procedures.
• Support projects that improve organization, efficiency, and effectiveness of manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with Operations and cross-functional teams on problem-solving and CI initiatives.
