CNM Central New Mexico Community College is seeking a Custodial Staff Member to maintain a clean and safe environment across CNM facilities. The role focuses on routine custodial tasks, restroom and classroom cleaning, floor care, and responding to special requests from leadership.

Work is hourly, with compensation of $15.00–$16.73 per hour. The position emphasizes safety, adherence to OSHA standards, and reliable, respectful service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, office suites, common spaces, lunch and break areas.
• Empty trash and recycling containers.
• Wash window sills, walls, doors and furniture.
• Clean whiteboards and trays.
• Vacuum, sweep and mop all hallways, walkways and stairways.
• Perform break work duties including stripping, waxing, sealing and buffing floors; spot clean and shampoo carpets.
• Respond to requests for special moving, clean-up, or set-up tasks by Lead Custodian or M&O Supervisor.
• Respond to emergency spill clean-up requests.
• Report repairs to Lead Custodian or M&O Supervisor.
• Comply with safety regulations and wear PPE if required.

Position Summary

The custodial staff member is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment at the assigned location, ensuring the well-meaning of students, faculty, CNM staff, and community members. The role primarily involves performing routine custodial tasks to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards within the designated area.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, office suites, common space, lunch, and break areas.
• Empty all trash and recycling containers.
• Wash window sills, walls, doors, and furniture.
• Clean whiteboards and trays.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop all hallways, walkways, and stairways.
• Perform break work duties including stripping, waxing, sealing, and buffing floors; spot clean and shampoo carpets.
• Respond to requests for special moving, clean-up, or set-up tasks as assigned by Lead Custodian or M&O Supervisor.
• Respond to emergency spill clean-up requests.
• Report repairs to Lead Custodian or M&O Supervisor.
• Perform other related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
• Employees are required to comply with safety regulations, procedures, protocols, OSHA standards, and wear personal protective gear if required.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and previous experience preferred.
