Job summary

Roadly is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead the entire Operations Department in Matawan, NJ. You will build scalable processes, coach a growing team, and drive accountability across freight brokerage, carrier safety, and customer success.

This role focuses on eliminating bottlenecks, implementing SOPs, and partnering with Sales and Leadership to enable the company’s next phase of growth while maintaining exceptional service and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in freight brokerage operations or equivalent leadership role.
• Proven track record building systems and improving efficiency.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people development skills.
• Experience partnering with Sales and Leadership to deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the operations department.
• Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and develop team members.
• Oversee daily freight operations across customer accounts and ensure service excellence.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable, long-term solutions.
• Build and enforce SOPs, KPIs, and reporting to drive growth.
