Job summary

Cogent, an Applied AI Lab building AI agents for cybersecurity, is hiring an Operations Associate to own day-to-day operations across people operations, workplace operations, events, and special projects. You’ll work across the business rather than inside one function, gaining rare exposure to how a category-defining company is built end to end and aligned with long-term leadership growth.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a fast-paced startup environment
• Ambiguous, cross-functional background in people operations, workplace operations or events
• Self-starter who can work with minimal direction
• Good taste and POV on office experiences and onboarding
• Comfort owning work across diverse domains with attention to detail
• Thrives in a fast-moving, high-intensity environment
• Reaches for AI tools to automate tasks
• Strong written communication
• Experience handling sensitive employee information with discretion

Responsibilities

• Workplace Operations: manage office logistics for SF and NY offices, from supplies to landlord relations and swag
• People Operations: coordinate recruiting and onboarding end-to-end, including scheduling, offers, ramping, immigration coordination, Cogent Founder Academy
• Events: design and execute events end-to-end, build a recurring events calendar and cadence
• Special Projects: partner with founders and Head of Bizops on strategic initiatives
