Job summary

BMI Hospitality Management in Deerfield, IL, seeks an Operations/Food and Beverage Manager to oversee all food and beverage and hotel operations, including banquets, culinary and restaurant outlets.

You will establish quality, maximize profits, forecast and budget, train team members, attend huddle meetings, conduct departmental meetings, and implement incentive programs while maintaining inventory and menu development.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent training.
• Hospitality industry experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience in similar title and scope.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire food and beverage/hotel operations.
• Encompass banquets, culinary and restaurant outlets.
• Establish and maintain quality product and service levels while maximizing profits; forecasting and budgeting; selecting, training and developing Team Members.
• Attend team huddle meetings, conduct departmental meetings, performance appraisals, and implement and maintain incentive programs.
• Maintain inventory control, menu development, community PR for the hotel, monitoring budget and maintaining high levels of Team Member satisfaction.
• Maintain Food Costs and Managing Labor
• Maintaining Menu Development
• Supervise subordinates consistent with Hilton Standards
• Coach and Counsel employees as needed via corrective interview process
• Interview and hire front and back of the house F&B staff
• Take ownership, and be a proactive leader who is constantly looking for new and more effective ways of improving products, guest service and profitability
• Work collaboratively with other department and department heads
