Job summary

Hill Country Transit District is seeking an Operations Floater to provide flexible support across Customer Service, Dispatch, and Scheduling functions. The role handles routine clerical tasks, responds to public inquiries, and helps maintain efficient transit operations.

The ideal candidate will communicate clearly, manage schedules, assist with fare processes, and back up multiple frontline positions as needed, working in a fast-paced office environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least six months of clerical experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
• Experience working in a transit environment is highly desirable.
• Available and willing to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct calls; provide public transit information.
• Schedule transportation requests and coordinate with drivers.
• Assist with fare collection, reporting, and revenue deposits.
• Maintain records, files, and office communications.
• Backup for Customer Service, Dispatcher, and Scheduler roles.
