Job summary

Kforce is assisting a growing manufacturer in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area to hire a Senior FP&A Analyst for the Manufacturing Operations finance team. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, and analysis tied to cost, margins, inventory and productivity while supporting strategic decisions.

You will partner with Operations and Cost Accounting, lead financial modeling, and deliver executive reporting. On-site with one day from home, you must reside in West Michigan and bring 3–5+ years of FP&A

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years FP&A/financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Manufacturing and cost accounting background required.
• Advanced Excel, financial modeling, ERP and BI tools.
• Strong business partnership and communication skills.
• West Michigan on-site with one day from home.

Responsibilities

• Analyze monthly and quarterly manufacturing results, cost trends, and EBITDA drivers.
• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate costs, ROI, and operational initiatives.
• Review P&Ls; identify risks, inefficiencies, and corrective actions.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting (volume, labor, material, overhead).
• Prepare executive and Board-level reporting packages.
• Perform variance analysis vs. budget.
• Support capital investments, pricing decisions, and headcount planning.
• Partner with Cost Accounting on standard costs, variances, inventory valuation, and absorption.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and financial metrics for leadership.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and improve FP&A processes and tools.

Kforce is working with a growing manufacturer in the greater Grand Rapids, Michigan (MI) area that is looking to add a Senior Analyst for their Manufacturing Operations to join their finance team. Summary: This role partners closely with Operations and Cost Accounting to drive financial performance across manufacturing. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and analysis tied to cost, margins, inventory, and productivity while supporting strategic and operational decision-making. Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze monthly and quarterly manufacturing results, cost trends, and EBITDA drivers
• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate costs, ROI, and operational initiatives
• Review product and departmental P&Ls; Identify risks, inefficiencies, and corrective actions
• Lead manufacturing budgeting and forecasting (volume, labor, material, overhead)
• Prepare executive and Board-level reporting packages
• Perform variance analysis vs. budget
• Support capital investments, pricing decisions, and headcount planning
• Partner with Cost Accounting on standard costs, variances, inventory valuation, and absorption
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and financial metrics for leadership
• Collaborate cross-functionally
• Improve FP&A processes, reporting tools, and system automation (ERP/BI/planning tools)

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of FP&A/financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Manufacturing and cost accounting background required
• Advanced Excel, financial modeling, ERP and BI tools
• Strong business partnership and communication skills
• Note you must live in West MI as this role is fully onsite with one day working from home.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
