As a member of the Operations Finance team, you will contribute to the achievement of financial and business objectives through accurate and timely financial analysis and reporting. You will work cross-functionally with operations, commercial finance, and finance to resolve issues related to revenue, costs, contract values, billing, balance sheet management, financial reporting, financial tools, and processes.
**Responsibilities include:**
- Administer the daily financial management of project portfolios consisting of single service contracts and tactical accounts.
- Identify issues related to contract modifications, contract values, and contract deliverables.
- Perform analysis of budget to actual data on monthly, quarterly, and annual bases, including revenue calculations and forecasting.
- Analyze cost assignments, ensuring adherence to accepted cost accounting standards.
- Conduct regular profitability and cash flow analysis on assigned projects.
- Reconcile costs and revenues recognized for assigned projects.
- Analyze revenue forecast variance and ensure forecast accuracy.
- Maintain project information and budgets within the project accounting system.
- Review and approve work movements and scope changes.
- Coordinate with support staff to ensure timely and accurate invoicing of sponsors.
- Assist in preparing invoice backup requirements and client reconciliation requests.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification. Previous experience (0-2 years) that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work effectively with internal clients; adapt quickly to new systems; handle sensitive information; juggle multiple tasks; possess strong analytical, communication, organizational, and project management skills. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required; experience with SharePoint, VBA, SQL, Power BI, RPA is advantageous. A solid understanding of accounting/financial principles is essential; professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are a plus for roles with more accounting focus.
