Job summary

The Administrator position at the University of Washington's Department of Bioethics & Humanities offers 75% FTE with a hybrid schedule. You will oversee financial planning, staff supervision, payroll, purchasing, and policy compliance within a 2 million dollar department supporting ethics services.

Reporting to the Chair and the Associate Dean, you will drive operational strategy across finances, HR, research management, and risk management while supervising 3 admin staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial administrative role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration or a related field.
• Experience managing budgets, personnel, and compliance in a university or medical center environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial planning and budget development for the department.
• Supervise administrative staff and coordinate HR, payroll, and purchasing functions.
• Provide strategic direction on marketing, branding, and public engagement for department programs.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and federal/state guidelines.
• Serve as primary liaison with the Dean’s Office and other UW departments.
