Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Field Technician to support the deployment, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of industrial electrical equipment. This role combines hands‑on field support with technical investigation, and quality engineering responsibilities.

As a growing company, we require a versatile professional who can bridge the gap between field operations, engineering, manufacturing partners, service providers, and customers. The successful candidate will serve as the company’s technical representative in the field, ensuring safe and effective installation, service execution, issue resolution, and product quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field Service Oversight & Project Support
  • Supervise and monitor installation, maintenance, and repair activities performed by third‑party service providers to ensure work is performed in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and factory partners to provide technical guidance and support during equipment startup, commissioning, and operational testing.
  • Technical Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis
  • Gather and analyze operational data, inspection findings, test results, and failure evidence and coordinate root cause investigations involving engineering, manufacturing partners, suppliers, service providers, and customers.
  • Lead corrective and preventive action efforts to address product, installation, or operational deficiencies.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Review third‑party reporting. Prepare clear technical reports documenting field observations, investigations, corrective actions, and recommendations.
  • Maintain records of service events, equipment history, and customer interactions.
  • Support warranty claim evaluations and technical assessments.
  • Assist in developing quality metrics and reliability reporting.
What You Offer
  • Experience in industrial power equipment or related industry
  • Knowledge of transformer and breaker testing (electrical and oil), commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with quality systems, root cause analysis methodologies, and corrective action processes.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, test reports, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel to project sites: up to 30%

Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree, technical diploma, military technical training, or equivalent experience in electrical power systems.
  • Understanding of IEEE, ANSI, NETA, NFPA 70E, and utility industry standards
  • 5+ years of experience with medium‑voltage and/or high‑voltage electrical equipment.
  • Experience working with international teams
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
