Job summary

Urban Pathways is seeking a Director of Operations in New York. This role ensures the facility’s operations—maintenance, safety, kitchen, and security—meet regulatory policies and company standards.

You will collaborate with the Director of Social Services and clinical staff to safeguard clients and supervise the operations team. You will lead preventive maintenance programs, oversee budgets and procurement, and respond to emergencies 24/7.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
• Minimum three years in building operations and security, with supervisory experience.
• Experience with homeless, mentally-ill or substance-abuse populations is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations, maintenance, security and kitchen functions.
• Ensure fire safety guidelines are followed and documented.
• Supervise operations staff and conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings.
• Monitor safety, alarms, building access, and incident reporting.
• Coordinate with Program Director and HR on staffing, training and evaluations.
