Job summary

Tech Etch in Plymouth, MA is seeking an Operations Excellence Manager to drive a cycle of improvement projects that support rapid growth and profitability. You will report to the VP of Engineering & Operations and lead sustainable process enhancements with measurable outcomes.

You will oversee performance measurement, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure change initiatives deliver expected business results across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional-level experience leading improvement teams.
• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Management.
• Strong foundation in statistical analysis.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Results-oriented change agent with strategic thinking in business systems.
• Proficient in influencing, negotiating, and resolving conflicts to reach consensus on shared objectives.
• Demonstrated project management with cross-functional leadership.
• Ability to coordinate across disciplines and manage scope, timelines, and resources.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Lean and continuous improvement projects to improve process flow, quality, and cost.
• Mentor lean leaders and contributors to foster continuous improvement culture.
• Champion data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• Develop and implement a framework to drive continuous improvement with transparent communication.
• Monitor Lean/Six Sigma projects, coach teams, and conduct leadership reviews.

About The Job

As the Operations Excellence Manager at Tech Etch, you will play a pivotal role in driving a continuous cycle of process improvements with an unwavering focus on growth and performance. Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering & Operations, you will lead the charge in successfully implementing improvement projects across the enterprise, thereby enabling Tech Etch to sustain its rapid growth trajectory and enhance profitability. Your primary responsibilities will encompass overseeing the implementation of sustainable process enhancements, measuring and reporting performance against targets, and ensuring that change initiatives yield the expected business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute cross-functional Lean and continuous improvement projects aligned with our business objectives. These initiatives will drive improvements in process flow, quality, and cost-effectiveness


• Identify, mentor, and train lean leaders and individual contributors, both formally and informally, to build a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization


• Champion data-driven decision-making processes throughout the organization, ensuring that all business decisions are grounded in data and analysis


• Develop and implement a comprehensive framework to drive and manage continuous improvement initiatives across the business, with an emphasis on delivering sustainable results. Foster transparency through regular and ongoing communication with all employee owners


• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. This includes monitoring Lean and Six Sigma projects, identifying projects aligned with business goals, providing coaching and training, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels for project selection, and conducting regular leadership reviews to monitor progress

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with individuals at all levels of the organization, fostering collaboration and cooperation

• Proficient in influencing, negotiating, and resolving conflicts to reach consensus on shared objectives


• Demonstrated project management skills, including cross-functional team leadership


• Proven ability to function independently in a high-impact role, even when faced with tight deadlines and resource constraints


• A demonstrated ability to coordinate across various disciplines and integrate all aspects of the business, including scope, roles, responsibilities, specifications, timelines, and resources


• Prior Lean experience and training in a manufacturing environment; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred

Salary Range

$90,000-$140,000 annual base salary.
