Job summary

Tech Etch is seeking a Quality Technician to perform final audits, incoming inspections, and data-driven analysis using automated inspection equipment. You will support First Article Inspections, calibrations, and data uploads while collaborating with operations, supply chain, and production teams.

The role emphasizes accuracy, documentation discipline, and teamwork in a full-time day shift with occasional evenings or weekends. Prior ERP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in basic mathematics and GD&T principles.
• Strong Excel data-entry and data-collection capabilities.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Epicor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specifications and customer requirements.
• Inspect products with video inspection devices, micrometers, calipers, and other gauges.
• Record dimensional and non-dimensional data with good documentation practices.
• Prepare documentation for shipments and data uploads to customer sites.
• Support Engineering, Inspection, and Customers with measurement needs.
• Run automated inspection devices and perform First Article Inspections.
• Assist with organizing shipments with inspection and logistics teams.
• Be a strong, collaborative team member.

About the Job

We are looking for a highly motivated Quality Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for final audits, incoming inspection of materials and subcontract work, running product on the automated inspection equipment including the downloading of data into spreadsheets and verifying the results. Other tasks will be first article inspections, calibrations, measurements for special projects and other tasks assigned by management. The position collaborates with operations, supply chain, and production teams to ensure the efficient, cost-effective, and timely movement of materials and finished goods, while driving strong performance in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.

Shift

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (occasional evenings/weekends)

Responsibilities

Quality General

• Interpret drawings, specifications, and additional customer requirements.
• Inspect products using video inspection equipment, micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, enhanced vision devices and other measurement equipment as needed.
• Record the information compiled both dimensional and non-dimensional on the appropriate forms utilizing good documentation practices and evaluate them for compliance with the requirements defined.
• Prepare documentation packages to accompany shipments.
• Prepare data collections for uploading to customer sites.
• Support measurement needs of Engineering, Inspection, and Customers.
• Run the automated inspection devices to gather data.
• Perform First Article Inspections.
• Help organize shipments working with the inspection and logistics teams.
• Be a strong team member.

Quality Additional

• Programming of the automated inspection systems in the area.
• Calibration of the inspection devices and how to properly access and record the information in the database.
• Understand the ERP system and how to access the information required.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematics.
• Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Strong computer skills including general competency in Microsoft office mainly Excel for data inputs.
• Strong organizational, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong time management skills with attention to details.
• ERP system experience required (Epicor preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands

• Work performed in office, warehouse, and manufacturing floor environments.
• Frequent standing and walking required.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
