Operations Excellence Engineer - Federal Projects

Job summary

Gilbane Federal is seeking an Operations Excellence Engineer to perform OpEx functions across federal projects. The role can be based out of any Gilbane office in the US.

Key duties include leading PHAs with Sr. OpEx leadership, managing client surveys, tracking project status, and contributing to strategic planning while mentoring junior staff and supporting a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Construction Management.
• 4 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Procore and CMiC for Change Management, Submittals, RFIs, Daily Reports, Meeting Minutes, Inspection Checklists, Rolling Completion List, Punch List, etc.
• Knowledge of MicroStrategy to run basic reports.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Schedules, participates, and conducts sections of Project Health Assessments (PHAs) with Sr. OpEx Engineer/ Sr. OpEx Manager.
• Manages the Client Survey Process with Project Executives to ensure surveys are scheduled and received.
• Maintains and tracks status of projects (kickoff meetings, building envelope reviews, client survey status, PHAs).
• Attends and contributes at internal kick-off meetings.
• Provides data for annual Divisional and BU strategic plans.
• Attends OpEx peer group meetings.
• Serves as a BU resource and guides employees on daily tasks.
• Participates in monthly project forecast meetings.
• Coaches and mentors less experienced team members.
• Supports a positive and inclusive work environment.
