Job summary

Oklo is seeking an Operations Engineering Lead to establish the operating model and the operations engineering basis for its nuclear fuel recycling facility. You will ensure safety, operability, maintainability, and readiness across design, construction, commissioning, startup, and ramp-up.

You will translate regulatory and safety needs into design requirements, align with process engineering, safety, licensing, and maintenance teams, and build a high-performing operations engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in nuclear fuel-cycle or similar complex industrial processes.
• Experience in facility operations, commissioning, startup, or maintenance.
• Experience supporting facility design or capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and configuration control of the facility concept of operations.
• Translate safety, security, safeguards, and regulatory needs into design requirements.
• Represent operations through design to ensure safe, operable, and maintainable systems.
• Complete operability, maintainability, and readiness reviews with assigned actions.
• Review PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specs, and system descriptions from an operations perspective.
• Develop staffing, procedures, training, maintenance, commissioning, and ramp-up plans.
