Job summary

Medline, a global healthcare company, offers a 10-week summer internship in the Chicagoland area. Interns take ownership of projects and gain real-world, hands-on experience while contributing to our entrepreneurial culture.

The program includes social and networking events, leadership presentations, and community service activities from early June through mid-August. Interns work across several business areas, designed to support personal and professional growth, and receive a tangible skillset

Qualifications

• Background in Engineering, Industrial or Systems preferred.
• Junior standing with 3.0 minimum GPA preferred.
• Strong leadership abilities and demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Motivated self-starter.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement principles is a plus.
• Unrestricted permanent US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and correcting bottlenecks in a Medline warehouse.
• Creating and implementing new standards.
• Slotting multiple warehouses to improve travel time per line.
• Improving cubic utilization within the warehouses.
• Providing on-site support during technology (robotics) go lives.

Designed to support both personal and professional growth, the 10‑week summer program runs from early June through mid‑August in one of our four corporate offices in the Chicagoland area.

The anticipated salary range for this position: $23.25 - $33.75 Hourly The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
