Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is offering a Product Management Internship in the Chicagoland area. As a Product Management Intern you will work with the Product Division team across product development, marketing, global sourcing, sales, negotiation, quality assurance, operations, and financial strategies.

The 10-week summer program runs from early June through mid-August; you must be a rising senior, with strong organizational and presentation skills, and a keen interest in healthcare.

Qualifications

• Junior standing required
• 3.0 minimum GPA preferred
• Experience in product management/development, marketing, or business preferred
• Interest in Healthcare industry preferred
• Excellent organizational, planning, communication and follow-up skills
• Strong presentation abilities for groups
• Strong strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bias toward action and results oriented
• Proficient with MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Unrestricted permanent US work authorization

Responsibilities

• Develop and launch new product lines or improvements
• Assist in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies

Job Description

A Product Management Intern at Medline will work closely with the Product Division team members and will be exposed to all areas of the business, including product development, marketing, global sourcing, sales, negotiation, quality assurance, operations, and financial strategies.

Possible projectscould include:

• Development and launch of new product lines and/or product improvements

• Assistingin the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies

• Collaborating with marketing to develop promotional pieces and design packaging

• Researching the market and performing analyses todeterminenew opportunities to grow the business

• Crafting and delivering presentations to our sales force and customers

• Negotiating with vendors to ensure business goals are met whilemaintainingstrong business relationships

• Working with Inventory Management to ensure proper stock levels and service level goals are met

• Active interest in the Healthcare industry preferred

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel,PowerPointand Outlook

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$23.25 - $33.75 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
