Job summary

RTX, including its Pratt & Whitney division, seeks an experienced Operations Engineer to drive enterprise capacity strategy across a manufacturing network. You will partner with Industrial Engineers, sites, software developers, and senior leaders to turn data into actionable capacity insights.

You will leverage Kinaxis Maestro and Power BI, lead training, and present findings to senior leadership, shaping capacity readiness for one of the world’s leading aerospace organizations.

• Gather and analyze capacity information to develop enterprise level insights for internal customers.
• Leverage Power BI dashboards to develop reports for internal customers.
• Work with a software developer to enhance Kinaxis Maestro based on IE feedback.
• Develop and present enterprise capacity insights and recommendations to leadership.
• Lead Kinaxis Maestro training for IEs across locations.

What You Will Do:

Are you an experienced Operations Engineer who enjoys solving complex capacity challenges and turning data into decisions that impact an entire manufacturing network? Join Pratt & Whitney's Enterprise Capacity team and play a critical role in ensuring our producer base is prepared to meet the demands of the future. In this highly visible role, you'll move beyond site-level capacity analysis to influence capacity strategy across P&W's domestic manufacturing footprint-partnering with Industrial Engineers, manufacturing sites, software developers, and senior leaders to identify risks, improve modeling capabilities, and drive actionable insights.

You’ll leverage enterprise tools such as Kinaxis Maestro and Power BI, lead training and process improvements, and present findings to senior leadership, giving you the opportunity to combine engineering expertise, technology, data analytics, and cross-functional leadership to help shape the capacity readiness of one of the world's leading aerospace organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to standards for Industrial Engineer's use of Kinaxis Maestro for capacity modelling across multiple sites


• Travel approximately 20% to P&W manufacturing sites to collaborate directly with Industrial Engineers, understand capacity-modeling challenges, and identify opportunities to improve enterprise processes and tools.


• Gather and analyze capacity information from site Industrial Engineers across multiple units to develop enterprise level insights and recommendations for internal customers


• Leverage existing Power BI dashboards to aid in developing reports for internal customers.


• Work with a software developer to enhance Kinaxis Maestro based on feedback from the IE's


• Develop and present enterprise capacity insights, risks, and recommendations to leadership and internal customers.


• Lead training and adoption of Kinaxis Maestro to IEs across multiple locations


• Validate capacity modeling outputs from IEs to ensure accurate representation of risk

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, operations, or a related field, OR an Advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience


• Ability to organize, analyze and communicate complex data sets.


• Creative problem solving and the ability to lead cross‑functional groups without direct authority


• Experience with MS Suite of Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, including Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Supervisor/Cell leader, or similar role.


• Experience with Kinaxis Maestro or other enterprise capacity planning/modeling tools is highly valued.

Hybrid : Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
