Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor short-term and long-range plans related to expansion procedures, staffing, equipment, vehicles, and products within the operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety and legal standards, participate in special staff support projects, and prepare management information systems to aid in controlling and developing operational goals.
• Assist in studies to implement innovative engineering concepts into operations, benefiting both FedEx and its customers.
• Maintain communication between operations and corporate departments, providing technical expertise on facility requests such as lease terminations, new locations, five-year planning, equipment justification, layout, vehicle planning, and cost justification.
• Monitor productivity, service, and cost performance in all areas of operations and assist personnel in implementing necessary changes.
• Provide technical training to personnel in workshops, seminars, and on-the-job training sessions in various areas, including operations, manning, management information systems, contingency planning, productivity, cost-effectiveness, and manpower scheduling.
• Perform other duties as assigned
