Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA seeks an Operations Engineer III to support manufacturing operations and drive process improvements. You will develop procedures, mentor entry level staff, and coordinate cross-functional engineering projects to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or related curriculum required.
4 years manufacturing engineering, design engineering, or related technical experience.

Responsibilities

Provide and maintain detailed work instructions for assigned manufacturing processes; drive quality and efficiency improvements; manage daily work plan and provide metrics for quality and schedule performance.
Perform RCCA analysis on defects and ensure first-pass quality with minimal rejections.
Conduct technical studies and analyses to optimize production processes; define equipment/tooling needs and methods for complex assemblies.
Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects; participate in Design for Manufacturing assessments with Engineering.
Apply Lean principles and Six-Sigma concepts to improve methods and processes; support Safety, Sustainability and Ergonomic initiatives.
