The Avery Dennison Corporation in Mentor, OH, is hiring for a Finance Early Career Program (ECP) Associate. This full-time program rotates through Commercial Finance, FP&A, and Operations Finance over 36 months to build leadership in corporate finance.

Graduates with a Finance-related degree and internship experience will develop forecasting, accounting, and financial modeling skills, supported by mentoring and structured training. Salary is $78,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field with December graduation (January start) or May graduation (June start).
• Previous internship or co-op in finance or accounting is required or relevant work experience.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and experience in building financial models are a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership via student organizations such as Beta Alpha Psi, ALPFA, MBA etc.

Responsibilities

• Gain real world exposure with direct impact on organizational objectives, goals, strategies and measures.
• Work cross-functionally with finance peers to provide financial support to North American teams.
• Develop skills in forecasting, financial planning & analysis, accounting, cost accounting and close processes.
• Support projects like Monthly Forecasting, Month End/Quarter End reporting, and Annual Operating Plan.
• Participate in mentoring and leadership development to transition from college to corporate life.

About the role:

Avery Dennison’s North America Finance Early Career Program runs with a single business focus to build talent for our rapidly growing organization. With a concentrated blend of experiential on-the-job learning and classroom and virtual training, the ECP serves as the talent pipeline for leadership roles throughout the region. We are searching for meticulous individuals who are looking to craft a successful and influential career in finance to be our next Finance Early Career Program Associate. Finance Early Career Program Associates receive in-depth exposure to various geographic and functional parts of the organization by rotating through three different positions over the course of 36 months. These positions are the equivalent of three full-time positions that will give you real world experience. The Finance Early Career Program Associate typically rotates through roles such as Commercial Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Operations Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Gain real world exposure: Our associates work in positions that have direct impact on our organizations objectives, goals, strategies and measures.

Work cross-functionally: Work closely with finance peers and to provide financial support to teams across the North American business.

Develop key skills: Grow skills and proficiencies in areas such as forecasting, financial planning & analysis, business partnership, accounting, cost accounting and close processes.

Seek target assignments: Support projects and assignments that have a direct impact on the business such as Monthly Forecasting, Month End and Quarter End reporting requirements, and Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan processes.

Mentoring and Leadership Development: Engage in structured mentoring with organizational leaders focusing on transitioning from college to corporate, leveraging strengths, and defining career progression.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field required with graduation timelines for December Graduates (January start date) or May Graduates (June start date).

Previous internship or co-op experience required or relevant work experience in finance or accounting.

Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, and experience in building financial models (a plus).

Demonstrated leadership and involvement via student organizations, such as Beta Alpha Psi, Association of Latino Professionals of America, Multicultural Business Association, etc.

Demonstrated engagement in volunteerism or similar activities

The salary for this position is $78,000.
