Job summary

Asurion is seeking an Operations Document Control Supervisor to lead daily support across Reverse Logistics, Forward Logistics, and Repair. You will develop staff, balance workload to meet priorities, and ensure compliance with policies, standards, and system controls while driving accuracy in documentation that supports our operations.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to maintain up-to-date records, implement Lean improvements, and guide the team through training and onboarding,

Qualifications

  • Requires 2+ years in operations, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing.
  • Experience with document control, quality management systems or Lean/continuous-improvement preferred.
  • Experience with Workday, ERP and reporting tools preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Summary

The Operations Document Control Supervisor leads daily operational support and document-control activities across Reverse Logistics, Forward Logistics, and Repair / Buff & Polish operations. This role develops employees and balances team capacity and workload against business demand and priorities. The Supervisor also ensures compliance with company policies, operational standards, customer requirements, and system controls, while driving accuracy and accountability in the documentation that supports the operation.



Essential Job Duties


People Leadership & Development

Evaluate staffing levels and balance capacity and workload to meet safety, quality, and production plans in line with business demand and priorities. Coach, mentor, and develop new and existing employees to meet Asurion's expectations for safety, quality, and production. Oversee onboarding and ongoing training as processes are updated or changed. Conduct regular one-on-one performance discussions to communicate current and future targets and reinforce accountability. Review team performance daily to ensure accountability and process compliance. Lead daily team meetings to share updates on targets, processes, and company news.



Operational Execution

Ensure daily targets for internal and external customers are consistently met. Compile and analyze departmental reports to align daily plans with operational needs. Keep facility and departmental databases current and accurate for review, reporting, and presentation.



Compliance, Quality & Continuous Improvement

Review operational work instructions and controlled documentation for compliance. Support and drive Gemba process walks and Layered Process Audits and generate the associated reporting. Partner with peers and team members on continuous-improvement initiatives using Lean tools such as PDCA, Kaizen, MDI, and root-cause analysis. Enforce the Employee Handbook and site-specific policies for self and team.



Administration

Ensure timely completion of HR-related requests, including compliance courses and Workday updates. Maintain accuracy in payroll systems and departmental databases. Promote and model the Asurion Way daily for self and team. Perform other duties and projects as assigned by leadership based on business needs.



Working Schedule Monday – Friday and overtime as needed.



Skills & Qualifications

Working knowledge of document-lifecycle management, including change control, version control, records retention, controlled-copy practices, audit trails, training dependencies, and records retrieval. Knowledge of quality-management requirements and industry standards such as ISO 9001 or comparable frameworks (preferred). Demonstrated ability to apply problem-solving techniques, Lean principles, data analysis, and root-cause methods in day-to-day activities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Ability to compile, analyze, interpret, and present operational and document-control performance metrics. Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a consistent sense of urgency and initiative in a dynamic environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, protect confidential information, and remain effective under pressure. Ability to manage and resolve escalations, triaging urgent operational and document-control issues, driving them to timely resolution, and communicating status to stakeholders. Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain document and process requirements to diverse audiences. Ability to build partnerships and work effectively across Operations, Quality, Engineering, Training, Information Technology, Human Resources, and other support functions. Working knowledge and use of AI platforms/applications to use in day to day activities such as tracking, presenting and other case uses – For example, Claude/Chat GPT. Operational execution for standardizing review/approval of current/future documentation - should be reviewed on a cadence.



Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED required; an associate or bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field is preferred. Two or more years of experience in operations, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment. One or more years in a lead, supervisory, or people-management role preferred. Experience with document control, quality-management systems, or Lean / continuous-improvement practices preferred. Experience with workforce and business systems such as Workday, warehouse or ERP platforms, and reporting tools preferred.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Work is performed on-site in a warehouse / operations environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and moving equipment. Ability to stand, walk, and move about the facility for extended periods throughout a shift. Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, reach, and climb as needed to perform Gemba walks and audits. Ability to use a computer and standard office equipment for reporting and administrative tasks. Flexibility to support multiple shifts, including occasional evenings or weekends, based on business needs.
